Welcome to Generous Way (“we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of information in our mobile application (the “App”) and on our website (the “Site”). We are committed to protecting your personal privacy through strict adherence to an offline-first architecture.

2. Information We Collect

a) User-Generated Growth Data (Stored Locally)

All data generated through your interactive use of the App—including but not limited to, private journal entries, giving and financial budget transactions logged, Bible highlights and custom reading plans, Pomodoro deep-work minutes completed, and habit tracker achievements—is stored exclusively in an encrypted SQLite database directly on your iOS or Android physical device. We never transmit, store, or copy this data to our servers.

b) Payment & Subscription Information (Processed via Stores)

All billing, receipt validations, and subscription status verifications are processed entirely by the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) and Google Play Store (for Android devices). To check subscription status, the App validates receipt metadata anonymized through Apple/Google platform identifiers, and does not gain access to your private growth logs or database content.

c) Technical Support Enquiries

When you initiate support enquiries via our website Support form, we collect the contact details you voluntarily provide (name, email address, and transaction logs if relevant) solely to diagnose your technical issue. This support history is strictly confidential and kept isolated from App content.

3. Local Database Encryption & Key Security

The App local database is securely encrypted at-rest. Upon first App initialization, a secure, high-entropy unique cryptographic key is generated on-device. The key is securely written directly into the iOS Keychain (using Apple Keychain Services) or Android Keystore (using Android Keystore System). If you clear your device keychain, delete the App, or factory reset the device, the encryption key is deleted, rendering any remaining encrypted local db content completely unrecoverable. We recommend executing full iOS/Android system cloud backups to safeguard your local keychain.

4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Because we do not store, ingest, or control your private growth data on external servers, the rights of data access, rectification, exportation, or erasure are completely in your hands:

• Right of Access & Export: You can browse, review, and query all database tables directly inside the App screens.
• Right to Rectification: You can edit and update habit logs, delete financial ledger records, or rewrite journal reflections directly within active modules.
• Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Uninstalling the Generous Way application from your mobile device completely and permanently destroys all SQLite database records and the corresponding encryption keys from the hardware.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is intended for general audiences and Christian growth guidance. Because the App operates 100% locally and offline without data harvesting, we do not knowingly or technically collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may periodically update our Privacy Policy to reflect app updates or platform compliance updates. Any changes will be posted on this Site page, with a revised “Last Updated” timestamp. We encourage users to check this page to remain aligned.
