Terms of Service

1. License & Acceptable Use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use a copy of the App on an authorized mobile device owned or controlled by you, solely for your personal spiritual and growth purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to: reverse-engineer, decompile, decrypt, or attempt to extract source code from the App binary; distribute, sublicense, rent, or lease the App to third parties; or bypass any security features or premium lock screens.

2. Subscriptions, Purchases, & Billing

Generous Way is a subscription-based mobile application.

• Subscription Options: Standard premium features require a paid subscription, billed either **Monthly** or **Annual** (prominently discounted), as managed through Apple App Store and Google Play billing dashboards.
• Platform Verification: Subscription entitlements are validated directly with Apple or Google databases utilizing secure, anonymized cryptographic tokens to ensure high privacy.
• Renewals and Cancellations: Paid subscriptions automatically renew unless turned off in your iTunes Account Settings or Google Play Subscription Manager at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Refunds: All payments are handled directly by Apple and Google. We cannot issue refunds. Refund queries must be routed directly through Apple or Google support portals.

3. On-Device Data & Disclaimers

Because Generous Way is 100% offline-first after download and stores all transactions, plans, and journals locally on-device:

You are solely responsible for your data.If you delete the App, lose or damage your device, or clear your device's cryptographic keychain, all locally encrypted SQLite database contents will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by us. We strongly recommend maintaining secure encrypted iCloud or Google Cloud full system backups to protect your local data.

4. Stewardship Disclaimers & Advice

The App includes financial logging, giving progress trackers, and habit trackers designed to aid personal accountability.

No Financial or Medical Advice: Generous Way does not provide official investment advice, budget audits, debt relief services, or professional medical/mental health diagnostics. All calculations (such as the Stewardship Quotient SQ score) are automated reflective metrics. Consult a certified financial advisor or qualified counselor for professional growth advice.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App (including all static pre-computed chapter similarities, devotionals generated via Gemini pipelines, character sprites, and layouts) belong exclusively to Generous Way. The World English Bible (WEB) text bundled in the App SQLite database is public domain.

6. Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP, LOSS OF USER DATA, OR HARDWARE INSTABILITY.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App developer operates, without giving effect to conflict of laws principles.
