By downloading, accessing, or using the Generous Way mobile application (the “App”) or browsing our website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App or Site.

1. License & Acceptable Use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use a copy of the App on an authorized mobile device owned or controlled by you, solely for your personal spiritual and growth purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to: reverse-engineer, decompile, decrypt, or attempt to extract source code from the App binary; distribute, sublicense, rent, or lease the App to third parties; or bypass any security features or premium lock screens.

2. Account Creation & Communications

By creating an account with Generous Way, you agree that we may send you communications, including onboarding assistance, transactional updates, and marketing or promotional materials.

Your use of an account is subject to our Privacy Policy, which details how we collect and use your personal information, such as your name and email address. You may opt-out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails or the settings within the App.

3. Subscriptions, Purchases, & Billing

Generous Way is a subscription-based mobile application.

  • Subscription Options: Standard premium features require a paid subscription, billed either **Monthly** or **Annual**, as managed through Apple App Store and Google Play billing dashboards.
  • Platform Verification: Subscription entitlements are validated directly with Apple or Google databases utilizing secure tokens.
  • Renewals and Cancellations: Paid subscriptions automatically renew unless turned off in your platform account settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Refunds: All payments are handled directly by Apple and Google. Refund queries must be routed directly through their respective support portals.

4. On-Device Data & Disclaimers

While account-related data is managed on our servers, your core spiritual growth data (transactions, plans, journals) is stored locally on-device.

You are solely responsible for your local data. If you delete the App or clear your device data, locally stored database contents will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by us. We strongly recommend maintaining secure system backups to protect your local data.

5. Stewardship Disclaimers & Advice

No Financial or Medical Advice: Generous Way does not provide official investment advice, budget audits, or professional medical/mental health diagnostics. All calculations (such as the Stewardship Quotient SQ score) are automated reflective metrics. Consult a certified professional for specialized advice.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App belong exclusively to Generous Way. The World English Bible (WEB) text bundled in the App is in the public domain.

7. Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR LOSS OF USER DATA.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App developer operates.
